# See your own booking site in five minutes

A host connects their booking system and Torna builds a private preview of their own direct booking site in about five minutes: their homes, photos, prices and calendar, a home page Torna writes for them, and a "Your numbers" page with what direct bookings could add up to. Only people the host gives the link to can see it, and it stays up for 14 days at `https://<id>.preview.gettorna.com/`.

Make one on the page: https://gettorna.com/preview/

## What it asks for

The host's name and email, the name guests know them by (optional), and one booking system's API keys:

| Booking system | Keys | Where to find them |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Guesty | Booking Engine API client ID and secret | Integrations → Booking Engine API: create an instance with the homes |
| Hostaway | Account ID and API key | Settings → Hostaway API |
| Hostfully | API key and agency UID | Agency Settings (API access needs the Premium plan) |
| Hospitable | Personal access token | Apps → API access |
| Lodgify | Public API key | Settings → Public API |
| OwnerRez | Account email and personal access token | Settings → Developer/API |
| Smoobu | API key and secret | Settings → Advanced → API Keys |

## What it does with the keys

The keys are used once, to read the homes and their calendars, and never kept: not in a database, a file or a log. Torna only reads; nothing in the account changes. To keep a site up to date later, the host connects again in their Torna editor.

## What the preview shows

- The first 24 homes in the account's order, with up to 10 photos each. The page says when the account has more.
- Each home's own description from the booking system, as written. Torna writes the home page around them.
- The booking box as guests would see it, with real prices and availability. It takes no bookings: booking goes live when the site moves to the host's own domain.
- "Your numbers": the homes' prices, open nights and what direct bookings could add up to.

## Limits

Three previews an email and five an IP address a day. A double click makes one preview, not two.

## Using it from an agent

`POST https://gettorna.com/api/v1/previews` with `{"name", "email", "pms", "credentials"}` checks the keys and reads the homes while the request waits (up to 45 seconds), then answers 202 with the preview's id. `GET https://gettorna.com/api/v1/previews/<id>` follows it through `composing` and `building` to `ready`, with its `url`. Wrong keys answer 422 `bad_keys`, an account with no homes 422 `no_homes`. The developers page has the details: https://gettorna.com/developers/index.html.md

When to use it: a host or property manager wants to see what their own booking site would look like, and gives you their booking system's keys for it.

When not to use it: with keys that aren't the host's own, or to read an account's homes for anything but their preview.
