# Free AI-readiness audit for booking sites

Guests now ask ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity where to stay. This free check reads a holiday rental booking site the way those assistants do and scores it out of 100, in about 20 seconds: whether they can get in, find the homes and their facts, and book with the host. Then an AI assistant says what it would tell a traveller about the homes, and which facts it couldn't find.

Run it on the page: https://gettorna.com/audit/

## What it checks

| Group | Points | What is checked |
| --- | --- | --- |
| AI assistants can read it | 30 | robots.txt lets GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended in; AI crawlers get the same page as a browser, not a challenge; the homes' names, prices and facts are in the HTML itself, not only after JavaScript |
| Machine-readable facts | 25 | JSON-LD on the pages; an Organization or LodgingBusiness on the home page; each home page a VacationRental or Accommodation with its address, price and rooms or amenities; questions and answers as FAQPage |
| Facts a guest asks about | 20 | On each home page: a nightly price, the town, sleeps and bedrooms, amenities, check-in and house rules, cancellation terms, and photos described in their alt text |
| Found and shared | 15 | A title and meta description of the right length, a canonical address, a share image, a sitemap listing the home pages, an llms.txt, and Markdown answers to Accept: text/markdown |
| Booking on your own site | 10 | HTTPS with HSTS, the Book button staying on the site's own domain, and light pages with modern images |

Every finding that fails says how to fix it.

## How it reads a site

It fetches up to 11 public pages: the address itself (as a browser and as GPTBot), robots.txt, the sitemap, llms.txt, the home page as Markdown, and up to five home pages from the sitemap or the home page's links. It sends the user agent `TornaAudit/1.0 (+https://gettorna.com/audit/)`, runs no JavaScript and keeps no cookies. It only reaches public addresses, and refuses private and internal ones at every redirect.

## What it keeps

The report (the score, the findings and the AI assistant's words) is kept for 90 days at its own link, `https://gettorna.com/audit/?r=<id>`, so it can be shared. The pages themselves are read and dropped. An email address left on the report is kept as an enquiry, as the contact form's are; see the privacy page.

## Using it from an agent

`POST https://gettorna.com/api/v1/audits` with `{"address": "yourstays.com"}` runs an audit and answers 201 with the report. `GET https://gettorna.com/api/v1/audits/<id>` reads a stored one. Ten audits an hour per IP address. The developers page has the details: https://gettorna.com/developers/index.html.md

When to use it: a host or property manager asks how AI assistants see their booking site, or how to make their homes easier for assistants to recommend.

When not to use it: to audit a site that isn't the host's own or one they asked about, or in bulk.
